A warm, secure, nurturing environment

West Harford Methodist Nursery School provides a warm, secure, nurturing environment to encourage the development of the whole child.  Our classroom routine has been designed to promote  a predictable schedule that provides stability for the children.

All three of our classrooms have several large windows that let in an abundance of natural light as well as a nature-filled view of our spacious grounds.  Each classroom offers a private bathroom making toileting, especially for 3 year olds, convenient and extremely accessible.

In each room, you will find learning centers that have been strategically designed to create an engaging environment and many open-ended learning experiences. Dramatic play, blocks, art, science, and cozy reading areas are just a few examples of our learning centers.

At WHMNS, our children play outdoors on a daily basis, weather permitting. We have a spacious playground with structures that provide climbing, swinging, balancing, and digging including our large wooden Ark. Our facility also offers a large recreation room for large-motor indoor play when we are unable to go outside.
